A Little Poetry Fun

Our residents had a poetry activity recently, where they were able to write about anything they wanted to! It’s always interesting to see what they are thinking about and how they display it through their activities and daily lives. We really get to see the different personalities surrounding us and the many varied talents all of the residents have. Through these poems, you will get to see some of this talent!

Poem By Jean

They want us to write a poem

I think mine would sound like a song.

But I guess I could say I wrote a poem

Because a bird came along and

I found out I was wrong.

I like the bird who proved me wrong

You can see and hear him fly along.

Poem by Liz & Darlene

Shall we meet at the seat,

The shore or the store,

Or on the street.

I have money,

I will treat!

— Liz J. and Darlene E.

Poem by the Group

There was an old hag,

Who had a shopping bag.

She put it in a book,

And took it to cook.

Because she had time,

She filled her pot full of limes.
